Calendar of Events/Activities for St. Dominic’s & St. Francis of Assi

October 14-MHCC Parish Offices will be closed in observance of Columbus Day.

October 15-Scripture Study Group from noon-1:30PM at St. Francis in the parish hall.

October 17-MHCC Book Group Meeting at St. Francis parish hall 6:30-8PM.

October 19-St. Francis of Assisi Feast-Italian Dinner will be held at American Legion Post 303 at 5:30PM.  

October 22-No Scripture Study this week.

October 24-MHCC Book Group Meeting at St. Francis parish hall 6:30-8PM.

October 27-Our Lady of Fatima Statue with Guest Judy Studer.  Presented by St. Dominic Women's Guild at 2:00PM.

October 29-Scripture Study Group from noon-1:30PM at St. Francis in the parish hall.

October 29-Swansea Community Band Fall Concert at St. Francis of Assisi at 7:00PM.

October 31-No MHCC Book Group Meeting this week.

No First Friday/First Saturday scheduled the month of November.

November 1-All Saints Day-Holy Day of Obligation-Mass Schedule:  8:00AM at St. Dominic and 4:00PM at St. Francis.

November 2-All Souls Day-Mass at 8:00AM at St. Francis.

November 3-Rosary Walk at Mt. Hope Cemetery at 1:30PM.  Join us towards the back area of the cemetery to remember and pray for our loved ones who have passed away.  Please bring your own rosary to participate in the walk and dress appropriately for any weather.

November 5-Scripture Study Group from noon-1:30PM at St. Francis in the parish hall.

November 7-MHCC Book Group Meeting at St. Francis parish hall 6:30-8PM.

November 11-MHCC Parish Offices will be closed in observance of Veteran's Day.  Thank you to all men and women that have served or are currently serving.

November 12-Scripture Study Group from noon-1:30PM at St. Francis in the parish hall.

A WARM WELCOME TO OUR NEW PASTOR:

We are pleased to introduce Father ThomaCostata to the Mt. Hope Catholic Community.

Father Tom grew up in nearbSeekonknk and lategradutateded from University of Hartford.  After a career in business, he entered priestly formation and completed his Theological studies at Pope John the XXIII Seminary in Weston, MA.  He was ordained on July 9, 2005.  He served as Pastor of Annunciation of the Lord from 2012 to 2019 and has had assignments as Chaplain of BishoFeehanan High School as well aSOurur Lady of Lourdes School.  Along with experience in Family Ministry, he also brings with him experience ministering as a Hospital Chaplain at Cape Cod Hospital.  He arrives from thTauntonon Catholic North collaborative, where he served as Co-Pastor of St. Jude The Apostle, St. Anthony's, and St. Mary's since 2019.

He looks forward to meeting parishioners and getting to know the life of our parishes more closely.  As he settles into his new role as Pastor, FatheCostata would like you to know that he will be praying for all of us.  He asks that you in turn pray that the Holy Spirit guides his arrival so that this community  continues to grow in the faith, hope and love of Jesus Christ.

Our parish  community welcomes Fr. Tom, and we pray that the Holy Spirit will guide him and bless his time here with us.
